BACKGROUND OF THE RESEARCH CENTER

Jamhuriya Research Center (JRC) is a multidisciplinary research center established to pursue in-depth quality research based on integrity and generating knowledge geared towards solving our national problems and beyond by collaborating with some of the best and brilliant-minded researchers from national and international research institutions.

The research center is established and owned by the Jamhuriya university of science and technology (JUST), whose mandate is to perform and disseminate scientific research and also take part decision making process of the policymakers for the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in social and other related sectors through the research-based process.

Using an evidence-based applied research approach; we will be able to address the social, health, technology, and other complexities facing our communities through scientific researches.

Objectives

  • Develop and promote collaborative and interdisciplinary research to strengthen the capacity and infrastructure of research networking.
  • Increase university research funding and sourcing in applying to national and international research grants.
  • Increase and efficiently manage resources and funding for research for its members and the university community at large.
  • Provide training and enhancing research-related skills for graduate and undergraduate students, thereby improving the academic programs of their constituent academic units.
  • To contribute to the strategic educational and academic goals of the university, and promote synergies between research, teaching, and learning.
  • TWTransferring and mobilizing evidence based reseach information to support national and international development milestones such as the NDP of Somalia, the SDGs and UHC 2030.
