The senior leadership of Jamhuriya University of Science and Technology (JUST) recently paid a visit to the Center of Excellence – IoT & AI in India, a renowned hub dedicated to nurturing technology-driven entrepreneurship and youth innovation.

At the heart of this collaboration is Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC) — a platform created by JUST to cultivate a new generation of Somali professionals, innovators, and entrepreneurs capable of building valuable products and sustainable solutions for Somali society and beyond.

During the visit, the JUST delegation held an engaging meeting with the Center’s Director to explore potential collaboration between Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC) and the Center of Excellence – IoT & AI. Discussions focused on areas such as:

• Joint training programs for Somali youth

• Mentorship and incubation of innovative startup ideas

• Knowledge exchange in emerging technologies such as IoT and Artificial Intelligence

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Center’s advanced startup incubation labs, which have produced several successful tech enterprises that are now recognized across India. 

This visit marks an important step towards forging global innovation networks that empower Somali youth to transform their ideas into impactful, technology-enabled ventures. Through strategic partnerships like this, JIC is expanding its global network and unlocking new avenues to equip Somali youth with the skills, tools, and support systems they need to transform ideas into real impact.
